Presenoldeb a Phrydlondeb / Attendance and Punctuality

Mae presenoldeb a phrydlondeb da yn chwarae rhan hanfodol yn addysg ein disgyblion yn Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Cwmllynfell. Rydym yn parhau i weithio’n galed i hybu presenoldeb bob dydd.

Mae presenoldeb cyson, di-dor yn hanfodol bwysig er mwyn i’ch plentyn gyrraedd ei lawn botensial.

Er mwyn ein helpu i wella presenoldeb a fyddech cystal â:

  • Rhoi gwybod i ni cyn gynted â phosibl ar ddiwrnod cyntaf absenoldeb eich plentyn o’r ysgol.
  • Lle bynnag y bo modd ceisiwch beidio â mynd â’ch plentyn ar gyfer apwyntiadau deintydd/optegydd arferol yn ystod y diwrnod ysgol.

Bydd gwyliau a gymerir yn ystod y tymor yn cael eu cofnodi fel absenoldeb anawdurdodedig.

Presenoldeb

Presenoldeb 100% = dim diwrnodau ysgol wedi’u colli.

Presenoldeb 90 – 95% = Wedi colli o leiaf 2 wythnos o ddysgu.

Presenoldeb 85 – 90% = Wedi colli o leiaf 4 wythnos o ddysgu.

Presenoldeb 80 – 85% = Wedi colli o leiaf 5 wythnos a hanner o ddysgu.

Presenoldeb o dan 80% = Colli o leiaf 7 wythnos a hanner o ddysgu.

Prydlondeb

Mae bod yn hwyr am 15 munud bob dydd yn golygu colli hyd at wythnos o ysgol bob blwyddyn. Sicrhewch fod eich plentyn yn cyrraedd yr ysgol erbyn 8.50am fan bellaf. Mae’r drysau’n agor am 8.40yb.  Mae clwb brecwast hefyd ar gael i bob plentyn o 8.10 am bob dydd.

Swyddog Lles Addysg

Mae presenoldeb da yn hanfodol i gyflawniad gorau posibl ar gyfer dysgwyr unigol. Mae gennym Swyddog Lles Addysg a’i rôl yw darparu cymorth a chefnogaeth i deuluoedd lle mae presenoldeb rheolaidd yn yr ysgol yn broblem. Cefnogir y Swyddog Lles Addysg gan staff yr ysgol sy’n gwneud galwadau ‘ymateb diwrnod cyntaf’ i rieni disgyblion sy’n absennol.

Good attendance and punctuality play a vital role in the education of our pupils at Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Cwmllynfell. We continue to work hard to promote attendance every day.

Regular, unbroken attendance is vitally important in order for your child to reach their full potential.

To help us improve attendance please could you:

  • Inform us as soon as possible on the first day of your child’s absence from school.
  • Wherever possible try not to take your child for routine dentist/optician appointments during the school day.

Holidays taken during term time will be recorded as an unauthorised absence.

Missed Days

100% attendance = No school days missed.

90 – 95% attendance = At least 2 weeks of learning missed.

85 – 90% attendance = At least 4 weeks of learning missed.

80 – 85% attendance =  At least 5 and a half weeks of learning missed.

Below 80% attendance = At least 7 and a half weeks of learning missed.

Punctuality

Being late by 15 minutes every day will add up to a week of school being missed each year. Please ensure your child arrives in school by 8.50am at the latest. The doors open at 8.40am.  Breakfast club is also available for all children from 8.10am each day.

Education Welfare Officer

Good attendance is intrinsic to achieving the best outcomes possible for individual learners. We have an Educational Welfare Officer whose role is to provide help and support to families where regular school attendance is an issue. The Education Welfare Officer is supported by the school staff who make ‘first-day response’ calls to parents of absent pupils.
