Ein Gweledigaeth
Mae hapusrwydd y plentyn yn allweddol i’w ddatblygiad ac yn ganolig i’n gweledigaeth. Ein bwriad yw darparu awyrgylch croesawgar, gofalgar, cynhwysol ac ysgogol, lle y bydd ein dysgwyr yn cael eu gwerthfawrogi ac yn teimlo’n hapus a diogel. Er mwyn datblygu pob disgybl i fod yn unigolion cyflawn, rydym yn ymrwymedig i feithrin gonestrwydd, cwrteisi a pharch at eraill.
Sicrhawn fod pob agwedd o fywyd yr ysgol yn cefnogi a datblygu ein disgyblion ar hyd eu llwybr addysgol a thu hwnt. Wrth deithio drwy’r ysgol, anogir pob disgybl i wneud ei orau glas, cyrraedd ei botensial a llwyddo mewn cymdeithas ddwyieithog. Anelwn at sicrhau fod pob disgybl yn gwbl ddwyieithog, ac yn dangos cariad at wlad, iaith ac etifeddiaeth.
Ein Datganiad Cwricwlwm
Yn YGG Cwmllynfell, mae staff, disgyblion, llywodraethwyr, rhieni a gofalwyr wedi cyd-weithio i ddatblygu a rhannu’r weledigaeth ar gyfer y cwricwlwm yr ydym wedi’i ddatblygu. Er mwyn cyflawni ein gweledigaeth ar gyfer llwyddiant, anelwn at greu cwricwlwm sy’n eang, cytbwys a chyffrous sy’n cefnogi ein gweledigaeth ac ethos.
“Dysgwyr da, dyfodol disglair”
Mae ein cwricwlwm yn ffocysu ar sicrhau bod dysgwyr yn datblygu rhinweddau’r pedwar diben wrth ddod yn:
- Ddysgwyr Uchelgeisiol, Galluog;
- Gyfranwyr Mentrus, Creadigol;
- Ddinasyddion Egwyddorol, Gwybodus;
- Unigolion Iach, Hyderus.
Mae ein cwricwlwm hefyd yn sicrhau bod disgyblion yn datblygu dull integredig i ddysgu, gyda chysylltiadau ystyrlon yn cael eu gwneud ar draws y chwe Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad:
- Y Celfyddydau Mynegiannol
- Iechyd a Lles
- Y Dyniaethau
- Ieithoedd, Llythrennedd a Chyfathrebu
- Mathemateg a Rhifedd
- Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg
Mae hyn yn galluogi ein dysgwyr i wneud cysylltiadau ar draws eu dysgu a chyfuno gwahanol brofiadau, gwybodaeth a sgiliau. Mae cwricwlwm ein hysgol yn flaengar a bydd yn sicrhau bod y disgyblion yn datblygu hyder, rheolaeth, annibyniaeth a chydweithrediad wrth ddatblygu eu sgiliau llythrennedd, rhifedd, digidol a’r sgiliau cyfannol, yn ogystal â sicrhau eu bod nhw’n cael profiad o gynnwys cwricwlwm mwy cymhleth a soffistigedig i gyfoethogi a datblygu ymhellach eu gwybodaeth a dealltwriaeth.
Bydd dysgwyr yn YGG Cwmllynfell yn datblygu dealltwriaeth o bob “Datganiad o’r Hyn sy’n Bwysig” fel rhan o gwricwlwm yr ysgol. Bydd y datganiadau hyn yn cael eu harchwilio a’u hymweld er mwyn galluogi ein dysgwyr i ddatblygu lefel o wybodaeth a dealltwriaeth ddyfnach a mwy soffistigedig fyth o fewn pob Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad.
Mae ein cwricwlwm wedi’i ddylunio er mwyn hyrwyddo ymdeimlad o berthyn daearyddol, hanesyddol a diwylliannol o fewn cymuned yr ysgol. Anelwn at gefnogi ein disgyblion i ddeall eu hunaniaeth eu hunain o fewn y gymuned, yn ogystal â’u hunaniaethau eu hunain ac eraill yn y gymuned fwy eang yng Nghymru a’r byd ehangach. Mae ein cwricwlwm yn cynnwys profiadau safle’r ysgol ac oddi ar safle’r ysgol ac anelwn at wneud defnydd da o’r hyn sydd gennym yn yr ardal leol, gan gynnwys busnesau ac elusennau lleol.
Yn ychwanegol, addysgir y meysydd gorfodol canlynol i bob dysgwr trwy’r ysgol:

Yn YGG Cwmllynfell, defnyddir asesu i gefnogi pob unigolyn i wneud cynnydd ar gyflymder priodol, â chefnogaeth effeithiol a heriol. Mae asesu’n ffocysu ar gefnogi dysgwyr i symud ymlaen yn eu dysgu o ddydd i ddydd ac adnabod a myfyrio ar gynnydd dysgwyr unigol a grwpiau o ddysgwyr dros amser.
Bydd yr ysgol yn monitro effaith ei chwricwlwm ar gynnydd y disgyblion a’u datblygiad o’r pedwar diben yn barhaus drwy gydol y flwyddyn ac yn cwblhau adolygiad ffurfiol yn flynyddol.
Our Vision
The child’s happiness is key to his / her development and underpins our vision. Our intention is to provide a welcoming, caring, inclusive and stimulating environment, where our learners are valued and feel happy and safe. To develop our pupils as balanced individuals, we are committed to nurturing honesty, respect and courtesy towards others.
We ensure that every aspect of school life supports and develops our pupils on their educational journey and beyond. As they progress through the school, all pupils are encouraged to do their very best, fulfil their potential and succeed in a bilingual society. We aim to ensure that all pupils are completely bilingual and display a love of their country, language and heritage.
Our Curriculum Statement
At YGG Cwmllynfell, staff, pupils, governors, parents and carers have worked together to develop this shared vision for the curriculum that we have developed. In order to achieve our vision for success, we aim to create a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that is underpinned by our vision and ethos

Our curriculum is focused on ensuring that pupils develop the four main purposes of being:
- Ambitious, Capable Learners;
- Enterprising Creative Contributors;
- Ethical and Informed Citizens;
- Healthy Confident Individuals.
Our curriculum also ensures that pupils develop an integrated approach to learning, with meaningful links being made across the six Areas of Learning and Experience:
- The Expressive Arts
- Health and Wellbeing
- The Humanities
- Languages, Literacy and Communication
- Mathematics and Numeracy
- Science and Technology
This enables pupils to make connections across their learning and combine different experiences, knowledge and skills. The curriculum at our school is progressive and will ensure that pupils develop confidence, control, independence and co-operation in the development of their literacy, numeracy, digital and general skills, in addition to ensuring that they experience more complex and sophisticated curriculum content to enrich and further develop their knowledge and understanding.
Learners at YGG Cwmllynfell will develop an understanding of all “Statements of What Matters” as part of our school curriculum. These statements will be explored and revisited to enable our learners to develop an even deeper and more sophisticated level of knowledge and understanding within each Area of Learning and Experience.
Our curriculum is designed to promote a sense of geographical, historical and cultural belonging within the school community. We aim to help our pupils understand their identities within the local community, as well as the identities of themselves others in wider Welsh and global communities. Our curriculum includes both off and on-site experiences and we endeavour to make the most of what we have locally, including local businesses and charities.
Additionally, the following non-curriculum, mandatory areas will be taught to all pupils throughout the school:
- Relationships and Sexuality Education
- Religious Education
At YGG Cwmllynfell, the purpose of assessment is to support each individual learner to progress at an appropriate pace, with effective support and challenge. Assessment is focused on supporting learners to move forward on a day to day basis with their learning and identifying and reflecting on individual and group learner progress over time.
The school will monitor the impact of its curriculum on pupil progress and their development of the four purposes on a continuous basis throughout the year and complete a formal review on an annual basis.
